Production facility in Qingdao with multiple sound stages, editing suites, and postproduction departments. Standard location for major Asian and international film productions.

Anyone who has overseen a major Asian production or coordinated international co-productions over the last 15 years has inevitably come across this name. The facility in Qingdao is not just a studio — it's a fully integrated production and post-production infrastructure that enables the workflow from the start of shooting to final DCP acceptance under one roof. This makes it interesting for producers who need calculable cost structures and don't want to juggle multiple subcontractors at the same time.

The technical equipment includes several large sound stages with complete lighting infrastructure, variable set systems, and green screen setups that allow for parallel shooting. The editing suites are equipped with Avid and Premiere systems, as well as specialized color grading suites with Dolby Vision certification. This is not standard in Chinese studios, which is why it also attracts Western post-production teams who have their final finishing done here. Latencies when exporting material are minimal when working locally with fast IT infrastructure.

Practically relevant: The studio functions as a local hub for larger international co-productions shot in China or East Asia. Local line producers can generate rough cuts here while production is still ongoing — without wasting expensive transcoding and transfer times between continents. Many regional Hollywood job filters run through these facilities, especially for action-heavy productions where visual effects and color grading need to be pushed forward simultaneously. The crew base is established and speaks international standards — a big advantage over smaller studios in the region where specialists have to be recruited first.

For script development and pre-production, the studio also offers pre-visualization capabilities — 3D pre-visualization for complex setups is done here before physical sets are built. This saves time on set and reduces misinvestments in expensive sets. The inventory is also impressive: scaffolding, green boxes, practical lighting setups — much does not need to be purchased from external rental companies anymore.
