Low platform trailer or vehicle for mounting picture cars to film interior scenes while the car appears to be moving.

Description

The insert car allows me full control over the lighting situation inside the car. The vehicle is stationary, only the surroundings are moving. The insert car is a technique in film production. A low platform or trailer for mounting picture vehicles for interior shots while the car appears to be driving.

Practical Application

With an insert car, I can shoot dialogue scenes in a car without the safety risks of a real moving vehicle. Insert cars are safer and more controlled than actual driving shots. Often the better choice for complex dialogue scenes in a car.
