ARRI's largest LED panel featuring a 60x30cm emitting surface and 850W draw, replacing 2.5kW HMI fresnels at significantly reduced power consumption.
Technical Details
The S360 utilizes ARRI's Phosphor LED technology, achieving a CRI of over 95 and a TLCI of 98. Its color reproduction covers 90% of the Rec.2020 color space. The panel weighs 40 kg and measures 723 × 723 × 141 mm. Power is supplied via 100-240V AC or 24-48V DC with a maximum consumption of 350W. The integrated cooling system operates silently below 25 dB(A). Control is via DMX512, sACN, Art-Net, or the ARRI LiDB app via Bluetooth and Ethernet.
History & Development
ARRI released the S360 in 2017 as the largest model in the SkyPanel series. In 2019, firmware 4.0 expanded the effect modes. In 2021, LiDB technology was added for automatic metadata transfer.
Practical Use in Film
The S360 delivers the light output of a 2.5kW HMI softlight with 350W consumption. Setup applications include: large-area illumination, bounce lighting, window simulation. "The Crown" used several S360s for daylight imitation. Silent operation during sound recording. Color temperature changes without filter swaps.
Comparison & Alternatives
Compared to the S120: triple the light output, larger light surface. Competitors include: Litepanels Gemini 2x1, Creamsource Vortex8 – similar performance, lower color accuracy. The S360-C (2022) offers a full RGB spectrum. Budget options: Aputure Nova P300c, Nanlite MixPanel 150.
