The Aputure LS 600c Pro is a professional 600-watt RGBWW LED fixture with full color control. The unit utilizes the same full-color technology as the Nova series and can reproduce over 90% of the Rec.2020 color gamut. Specially developed color-mixing optics merge the RGBWW sources into a single point of light.
History & Development
Aputure released the LS 600c Pro in September 2022 as an RGBWW variant of the LS 600d. In 2022, a firmware update followed with expanded effect modes and improved color calibration. The Pro variant offers higher light output and professional control options compared to the standard version.
Practical Use in Film
The LS 600c Pro is suitable as a key light for interview setups or as a color accent light in feature film productions. The color control simulates practical light sources such as televisions or neon lights without color gels. The unit is combined with softboxes or Fresnel lenses for soft portrait lighting or hard shadows. Battery operation enables location-independent shooting, with two 190Wh batteries providing approximately 45 minutes of full power.
Comparison & Alternatives
The ARRI Orbiter offers comparable light output at four times the price. The smaller LS 300c Pro delivers 300 watts with identical color control. CAME-TV Boltzen Perseus and Godox Knowled M600R are price alternatives with lower color accuracy. For pure daylight applications, the LS 600d remains the better choice due to higher light output at 5600K.
