Professional RGB LED lighting panel providing full color gamut control for creative lighting and color grading visualization.

Technical Details

The Nova series comprises three main models: P300c (30×30 cm), P600c (60×30 cm), and P1200c (120×30 cm). All models offer full RGB+WW color mixing with CRI/TLCI values over 95 and a color temperature range of 2,300K to 6,500K. The P300c outputs 300W at a maximum of 2,400 lux (at 1m distance), while the P1200c achieves 1,200W and up to 9,600 lux. The panels feature DMX-512 control, built-in effects (fire, lightning, paparazzi), and can be remotely controlled via the Sidus Link app. The construction depth is only 3.8 cm, with a weight ranging from 6.8 kg (P300c) to 18.5 kg (P1200c).

History & Development

NAB 2021: Introduction of the first Nova models, P300c and P600c. NAB 2022: Expansion with the P1200c. The series fills the gap between Aputure's MC panels and COB lights.

Practical Use in Film

Automotive: Even window reflections without hotspots. Interview Setup: P600c replaces a 2×1 softbox with a smaller footprint. Tight Spaces: 3.8 cm construction depth allows for wall mounting. Backdrop: Large-area background illumination without additional diffusion. RGB Effects: App-controlled color gradients for time transitions. Low heat development for longer takes.

Comparison & Alternatives

Ready for use without diffusion, but offers less light shaping than softboxes. Arri SkyPanel S30-C: Higher price, more robust build quality. Creamsource Vortex: Different LED arrangement, similar market. Budget Alternatives: Godox FL series, Nanlite PavoTube II X series with lower light output and color accuracy.
